Reflexology Workshops IN Cumbria/ SOUTH LAKES AND Manchester
Welcome to my Reflexology website.
I am Karen Atkinson and I qualified as a Reflexologist with The Bayly School of Reflexology Ltd [Worcester] in 1990. I have been a reflexologist and reflexology tutor ever since and I taught for many years in Further Education colleges and private colleges. I now teach privately in South Lakes/Cumbria and Manchester.
I am a qualified assessor of reflexology and I have been the proprietor of three clinics where I practised full-time reflexology. I have also worked as a Reflexologist at an IVF hospital in Manchester. I have verified and assessed many reflexology courses at numerous colleges.
I now support students studying online Reflexology, and provide practical and theory tuition and assessment alongside their course from start to finish. I also organise and run Reflexology Hubs on a regular basis where clients are available for students to practice on, with guided tuition. Video calls and emails are part of my support whenever the student needs them.
Online Reflexology courses can provide a qualification at Level 3 which allows the student to practice and also obtain their insurance. As much as this is enough to start working with, it doesn’t always give enough practical tuition and experience. Private tuition alongside the online course gives support, guidance and can fast track students through quicker than working alone.
I recommend 12 hours [3 x 4 hours] per student of direct contact tuition throughout their online course. This can be done 1:1 at the student’s home, or at my venue, or as a group in a clinic where the staff are learning online reflexology.
Karen taught me reflexology, massage and aromatherapy during my Complementary Therapies diploma eight years ago, and her teaching set a gold standard for my practice. Her depth of knowledge, passion and care extended beyond technique into how to truly work with clients and build a sustainable therapy business. She is an inspiring teacher and a genuinely wonderful person to learn from.
